If you supplement your child’s education at home then I strongly suggest the Core Knowledge series called “What Your Child Needs to Know…..” This book starts with What Your Kindergartner Needs to Know: Preparing Your Child for a Lifetime of Learning (Core Knowledge Series) and goes each grade through What Your Sixth Grader Needs to Know (Revised) (Core Knowledge Series). I used the 1st and 2nd grade core knowledge books when I taught and fell in love with them. I have the whole series upstairs to work on with my daughters.
