The Georgia Marathon is THIS WEEKEND!

It’s hee-eere!  The Georgia Marathon (and half marathon) is this weekend.  On Saturday there is a Run Wild 5K and a Kid’s Fun Run in Grant Park.  I looove that the Kid’s Fun run is distanced by age.  Seriously, that is the smartest kid’s race!  My girls love running races but a one miler is too far for most kids who are three and four.

I have a confession……I cannot wait to go to the Expo to pick up my packet.  You see, last year at the Publix booth they had booklets that had $3/$30 purchase, $1/1 deli, $1/1 produce, and $1/1 grocery coupons in them.  I have my fingers crossed that they offer the same booklet again this year.  My husband offered to pick up my race packet while he is a a basketball game tonight but I said “NO WAY!!”  I have been looking forward to the expo for a whole year.  🙂

As for me…….I am running 13.1 miles on Sunday!!!  I saw a sports doctor who was very encouraging and helped my pain and told me that I will not injure myself any by running in the race.  Woohoo!!  Here is a photo from last year.  In case you have made it this far and want to match a face with a blog….I am on the left.
