Hello! We are participating in 5 Minute’s for Mom’s Ultimate Blog Party. We love a good party, especially with good decorations and nice friends.  Gifts are also very fun, so we are going to give away a $10 Amazon gift card.  That’s pretty spiffy, right?

About Us:

This website is run by two friends.  Leandrea (that’s me! with glasses over on the left in the picture above) does the majority of the writing.  Jessica is super busy with three kids (none of which sleep through the night on a consistent basis).  I love to save money so that our family can spend it on fun things like vacations and home improvements.  While you may not think home improvements are fun, let me just say that we have lived in our house for 5.5 years and we are in need of change.  Change = Fun, thus home improvement is fun!

That’s my now four-year-old who was so happy that she cut that coupon by herself!

Our Focus:

Our posts tend to be ways to save you money.  You can get many, many items for free at the drug stores.  I am a shopper who picks up the free items and donates to the food bank.  My goal is to donate 15 items per month, and I have exceeded that every month.  I know what it is like to be hungry and not have enough food to eat.  The Food Bank has a special place in my heart.

We are crafty and have a weekly series called Crafty Tuesday where we post our recent craft ideas which range from creating tulle wands to making bubble refill containers.  We think Family is Great and I recently started posted weekly about my family.  Did I mention that I like to run?  I even dressed up as Rapunzel for the Disney Princess Half Marathon on January!  Really, there’s a little bit of something for the average mom.
