If you can use a pair of scissors you can make a No Sew Fleece Blanket! We love Valentine’s Day here. With pink, red, white, and hearts what’s not to love? JoAnns currently has fleece on sale for $3/yard. The normal price is somewhere near $9.99, so the 70% savings motivated me to get to the store! We were fortunate enough to find heart fleece for Valentine’s Day but these blankets can be made with ANY fleece. You can make No Sew Fleece blankets in a single layer (which we did) or you can double them up for extra cozy warmness.
What You’ll Need:
Fleece (I used one yard per blanket)
Scissors
DIY No Sew Fleece Blanket:
First, remove the edge of the fleece if it has writing on it. For a single layer blanket cut 3 ot 4″ strips along the edges of the fleece. Then tie two pieces together to form little knots. You can do this along 2 or 4 of the edges.
For a double layer blanket, pin two pieces of fabric together (optional). Cut 3 or 4″ strips along the edges of the fleece. In each corner remove a square of fabric so the knots tie correctly. Tie the fabric strips together and you will have a double layer blanket!
This is so easy to do! Kids of all ages will love having a new cuddly blanket. You can adapt this easy craft to any holiday.
