Checking your shopping receipts before you leave the store may seem like a hassle, but it can be a very big reward if you store has a Scan Right Policy. If any of the items you purchased scan incorrectly you get that item for free. If you notice that you were incorrectly charged for an item be sure to go to customer service to let them know. They will refund your money!
Tonight at Kroger I purchased the following:
$2.00 strawberries
$2.00 strawberries
$1.03 bananas
$2.98 milk
$1.56 four decorator gels
$0.78 two sprinkles
Subtotal: $10.13
When I checked my receipt I realized I was overcharged for the strawberries. As part of the four day sale they should have rung up $1.68. I went to customer service and was refunded $2.00 for the first package of strawberries and $0.32 for the second. My new total is $7.81 for everything I purchased. Free strawberries are the best. Checking your receipts can be even better than coupons!
