If you are looking for a way to “wow” your favorite Valentine this year look no further than Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Lollipops. These are so incredibly easy and fun to make!
What You’ll Need:
Large Marshmallows
Chocolate Candy Coating (found in the baking aisle of the grocery store)
Lollipop Sticks
Sprinkles
Small Bowls
Microwave/stove/crock pot
Spoon to Stir
Cup to place marshmallows in while they dry.
Make Marshmallow Lollipops!
1) Melt the chocolate however you like – microwave, crockpot, or double broiler. I like the crock pot method.
2) Place marshmallows on lollipop sticks. This is a perfect activity for children to do.
3) Put sprinkles in front of you child/children.
4) Dip the marshmallow lollipop into the melted chocolate.
5) Allow your child to decorate. It is easiest for younger children if you hold and rotate the marshmallow while they sprinkle.
6) Allow your decorated marshmallow lollipop to cool for about 10 minutes. I have a Cakepop maker and stuck the sticks into that base. You can also use glasses instead of holding the sticks waiting for the chocolate to dry.
7) Wrap in a bag or saran wrap and tie with a decorative bow. These are a fantastic present!
If you are anything like me you may have a little bit of extra chocolate left over. Don’t throw it out! Oh no! Toss in a few raisins, pretzels, Oreos, or even try a Ritz cracker. Who knows, right? Everything is better with chocolate!
