All over the state of Georgia kids are getting ready to go back to school. WSB-TV is working on the Atlanta Stuff the Bus campaign again this year to help families in our community. The mission is simple – help children start school with the supplies they need to succeed. There are SIX drop off locations this year (2015) to make it simpler for our milage and schedules.
On August 1st, 2015 take your extra school supplies to help Stuff the Bus. This year’s six donation locations include:
- WSB-TV in Midtown
- American Signature Furniture (Camp Creek Marketplace)
- Kroger in Duluth, Decatur, and Marietta
- Northside Hospital-Forsyth in Cumming
Spending just a few extra dollars on the following supplies makes a huge difference to a child who would otherwise start the year without:
- New Book Bags (elementary and high school) – This one is less than $8.00 on Amazon
- 3 Ring Binders (no larger than 2 inches)
- Notebook Paper (college and wide-ruled)
- Pocket Folders
- Spiral Notebooks (college and wide-ruled)
- Composition Books
- Pencils
- Pens (black, blue and red)
- Markers
- Crayons
- Colored Pencils
- Dry Erase Markers
- Highlighters
- Erasers
- Pencil Boxes/Cases
- Rulers
- Scissors (blunt and sharp tip)
- Calculators (scientific)
- Compass/Protractor
- Glue Sticks
Our family will head to the Cumming location to drop off some supplies. We are slowly collecting them. My girls truly love giving to others. When the recipient is a child we have some very meaningful conversations.

Love this idea! I know my daughter would love to participate. We will put it on the calendar.
