PBS Kids Halloween DVD Giveaway: Win Three DVD’s (Ends 11/04)

October 31, 2012 by Leandrea Voskanian

Enter our PBS Kids Halloween DVD Giveaway: Win Three DVD’s!

Is your Halloween filled with tricks, treats, and learning?  This Halloween NCircle Entertainment brings us three amazing Halloween themed DVD’s that are entertaining and educational for our kiddos to watch. From the PBS series you can catch  the following on DVD for only $6.99 each:

•      “Sid the Science Kid – Sid’s Spooky Halloween” (brand new this year!) – Sid and his friends discover how bats catch mosquitoes, why spiders are expert engineer web builders, and how skeletons make up the foundation of our bodies.

•      “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That – Tricks and Treats” – The Cat, Nick, Sally, Fish, and the Things meet the eeriest creatures you have ever seen.

•      “WordWorld – A Kooky, Spooky Halloween” – The Word Friends get their share of scares the night before Halloween when Pig sleep walks and everyone thinks he is a ghost.  Then Sheep makes herself a super special fairy costume to wear for the big Halloween party, but gives her costume pieces away to her friends.

My girls and I sat down to watch WordWorld – A Kooky Spooky Halloween together and we laughed and loved it.  I sent these movies in one at a time to both preschool and kindergarten classrooms.  I loved that I was sending something educational in with my girls and the teachers loved that they had something seasonally fun to watch with the kids.  It was win-win.  I did let the teachers know that these movie are Halloween related….not just fall related.  The didn’t care, which was awesome.

We don’t have a favorite from the three – we like them each equally and differently.  WordWorld helps us with reading.  The Cat in the Hat and Sid help us with science and logic.  All of these are FANTASTIC!  Plus they really helped us get ready for Halloween.

Win it!

When I get out of work I rush straight home and decorate my front yard. Spooky music, fog, stobe lights and all. And of course I hand out the awesomest goody bags and glow bracelets to all the kids (big and small!) I usually get about 100 kids every year but this year was a little slow with Hurricane Sandy.
