It’s the time of year that we all love. Spring! The trees are starting to bloom, flowers are popping out of the ground, the threat of snow is gone (or will be soon). Easter in the spring is such a fantastic pairing. As the stores prepare us for Easter we are faced with the reality that there is a LOT of candy available to purchase this time of year. Luckily there are also many non candy items that can be considered Easter Basket filler ideas. Be sure to check out Coupons.com for printable coupons to keep your Easter Basket Budget in check. There are often printable coupons for toys and candy (but not always, so scroll through them all). Please note: This post contains affiliate links.
I love using non candy Easter Basket fillers for my girls. We don’t have to argue over when is appropriate to eat candy (“No, before breakfast is a bad idea honey”) and the toys lead to imaginative play and last much longer than sticky sugar! Not to mention, less threats of cavities!

Wow! That’s a great list! My kids are teenagers so besides candy, they mostly get things like gift cards, chapstick, makeup, dvd’s, etc. in their Easter baskets. That’s always been one of my favorite things – putting together the goodie baskets for the kids.
Awesome list! As a kid, my favorite things in my basket were non-candy items. A few that stick out to me were temporary tattoos, chalk, bubble and hair accessories.
THANK YOU!!! I am always looking for alternatives as we have lots of Valentine’s candy still on my counter LOL and it’s St. Patrick’s day–love the listing
Wow! Great collection and I love that they are not candy. I know my son would love stickers, stamps, and toys.
