Are you Christmas Shopping Online this year?

November 24, 2011 by Jessica

Each Christmas, I find myself shopping more and more online and less and less in the stores.  This year will be the first year that I have bought almost nothing at the store.  With three kids and the deals they have been running online it saves my sanity and my time to Christmas shop online.  It is so much easier to stay in my PJ’s than battle crowds and lines!

Christmas shopping online doesn't have to break the bank. Here are some great ways to maximize your savings!

links disclosure

To make it even sweeter, I have been taking advantage of all the great sites that offer cashback on your purchases when going through their site to access different stores online.  This is super easy and only takes less than a second to add more money to your pocketbook.  A month or two after Christmas each year, I get a check in the mail for my Christmas online purchases.  Who doesn’t love extra money?!  The hardest part is remembering to take advantage of these sites so I thought I would post a little reminder!  Here are the top three sites I find myself using most often:

  • Ebates – Receive $10 when you sign up and make your first purchase.  Then refer your friends and get cash for each friend you refer.
  • Mr. Rebates – Sign up and then share your referral link.  Each time your referral gets cash back, you get a bonus equal to 20% of their rebate. You benefit from every purchase they make.
  • TopCashBack – Share your referral link and earn $10 per qualified referral.

To get the most money back, you can check each site before deciding which to go through for your purchases.  Sometimes they are all the same, but sometimes you will find a higher percentage at one site than there is at another for the same store!  Each site offers different cash out levels, so that is something else to take in to consideration

I have stared using cash back sites for my Target trips.  It always seemed like I was buying way more than I had on my list every time I went to Target (it’s the same for you too, right?) so I like to shop online and pick my order up at the customer service desk.  It saves me time and money.

What tips do YOU have when it comes to Christmas Shopping online?

I love shopping online. Frankly, I’d even rather pay for shipping than tackle the mall!
