Bambo Nature Diapers Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

May 10, 2011 by Leandrea Voskanian

The statistics about disposable diapers reveal that 21 billion disposable diapers end up in the landfill each year.  The average baby in America uses approximately 6,000 to 10,000 diapers from birth to underwear. My girls are just about sixteen months apart in age.  My husband and I were at odds about cloth diapers.  I knew it was a battle that I could not, and would not, win.  What I didn’t know was that an eco-friendly diaper existed.  Bambo Nature is an eco-friendly diaper company that is committed to protecting the environment.

Bambo Nature are ultra premium disposable baby diapers.  Their diapers have amazing quality and absorbency.  Bambo Nature are considered Europe’s most eco-friendly disposable diaper – as certified by the Nordic Swan Eco-Label.  Bambo Nature diapers are free of all dangerous chemicals and all known allergens.  It is truly more than “just chlorine-free.”  The list of product ingredient exclusions from Bambo Nature diapers is impressive.

The size range for these diapers is premie (2.2 pounds) to size 5.  Pull up training pants are available in two sizes as well.

Our Thoughts: My 32 pound daughter tried the Bambo Training Pants Maxi Plus and they were too small for her.  When I emailed the company they said they would send the larger size to try.  Seriously, their customer service is fantastic!  The Bambo Training Pants XL fit my daughter perfectly.  They were used in a time of a severe tummy bug.  While my daughter was able to make it to the potty for the big meses I was incredibly happy that we had the Bambo Training pants on her!  They held up nicely on my little girl with sensitive skin.  I am very happy to say that these training pants did not irritate her skin in the least, which is amazing since she reacted negatively to so many diapers.  I truly wish I had know about Bambo diapers throughout my entire diapering years!

The designs are gender neutral and very cute.  My daughter really like the dinosaur on the XL Training Pants.  She even said she wished there was a stuffed animal like that.

If you are interested in purchasing Bambo Nature diapers you have two great options.  You can purchase them through Bambo Nature’s website or you can shop through Amazon.  In an economic time when prices are genrally increasing you will be happy to hear that the price of Bambo Nature’s diapers are expected to drop in the next few weeks on Amazon.  In addition, you may be able to find some free shipping opportunities and coupons through Amazon.  Definitely be on the lookout for these changes!

Buy Them!

I would love to try these diapers so i can do my part in being “green”. I tried using cloth diapers a few times because i feel horrible about using disposable diapers, but it just work for me 🙁 It’s needless to say that we go through TONS of diapers. With these, i can feel a little bit better about just throwing them away because the materials used to make these diapers are 75% biodegradable. Plus, even the manufacturing of the diapers is kinder on the environment, using less energy and resource consumption than other diaper factories.

I like that it’s less time in the landfill. There is one close to my work (you can see it for a good portion of the drive in, from the expressway, from the local ski hill, the local venue for music and sports (major nba team)). Atleast it’s capped and I don’t have to smell it, but I saw the show on discovery (how it works or modern marvels) and even with composting and breakdown efficiency enhanced by science (they control the temp and humidity and flow of gas), it still takes ages. and that means another landfill has to be made.
