Christmas traditions are so fun and bring a smile to everyone’s faces. Several years ago I started a brand new Christmas tradition to go with our Christmas Pickle and Elf on the Shelf (Week 1, Weeks 2 and 3, and Elf on the Shelf Santa Letterhead). Our Reindeer Pancakes Christmas tradition is one of the days my girls look forward to the most each year. To be precise, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. We have also made snowmen pancakes and they were a huge hit too!
All it takes to create pancake reindeer is some pankcake batter, whipped cream, blueberries, strawberries, and bacon. I tried making the reindeer pancake as a head and ears on the griddle, but it just looked like Mickey Mouse. You truly need to add the ears afterwards for it to look right (in my opinion).
This was totally worth it. Look at Big Sister’s reaction when she was only six. She thought it was absolutely amazing. As for Little Sister (age almost 5)…..well, she told me I made nice polar bears for dinner. You win some, you lose some!

I play with my food everyday!! Love these cute pancakes. I was going to make my Santa cakes tonight for our brinner, but may do these reindeer instead (the bacon just gives us much needed protein, right?!)
These pancakes are so cute! I think my kids would like this. Your daughter looked like she loved them.
