One thing that we hear over and over again is that good deals on produce and meat are getting increasingly hard to find.  Luckily the folks at Zaycon Foods know this and they are doing their best to bring us low prices on items we need!  Zaycon Foods is doing a “Chicken Across America” event where they are heading across the United States and stopping in each state (except Alaska and Hawaii) and selling chicken for amazingly cheap prices…..in the $1.60’s per pound!

And even better – Zaycon Foods is giving one lucky Coupons Are Great winner 40 pounds of fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts.  The winner will receive a $65 credit into their Zaycon Foods account or a $30 check to purchase chicken in your local store if they are not going to deliver in your area.

    my favorite chicken recipe is chickenbreast, seared, then add 1/2 bottle of italian dressing, some miracle whip, parmesan cheese and let it simmer till done, serve over rice …so yummy

    Mmmm…chicken stir fry with fresh broccoli, carrot sticks, water chesnuts, scallions. Then there is chicken pot pie made with puff pastry. How about chicken ka-bobs. Just one of the most versitile meats out there.

    My favorite recipe for chicken is my own where I brown it covered in a little flour then cook it in the oven with sliced potatoes, carrots, and three different kinds of sliced onion in chicken stock. It carmelizes the onions and makes it’s own gravy. Yum.

    my favorite chicken recipe would have to be chicken stew with lots of potatoes. i grew up on that.my parents had 7 kids plus foster kids to feed so some good chicken stew over rice would feed us all. thanks

    I like to bread my chicken with corn flake crumbs, parmesean cheese, garlic and white pepper and bake it in the oven. Serve with fetticini and alfredo sauce.

    My anytime recipe is Chicken Pot Pie. But for when we are camping I like to roast a chicken right in the fire using my cast iron dutch oven. And when I am sick or it is a cold snowy day love me some good homemade chicken noodle soup.

    BarBQued Baked Potatoes

    You need a crockpot

    6-8 large bone in, skin on Chicken Breast
    2 bottles Bar B Q Sauce (Your Choice)
    1 Container Sour Cream
    1 Bag Shredded Cheddar Cheese
    Butter
    Potatoes
    Season Salt
    Pepper

    Place the Chicken Breast in the Crockpot Season with Season salt and pepper on High for 6 – 8 hours (if frozen) 6 hours if thawed (the breast is done when you can pull it apart easily with a fork and all the juices run clear.)
    When Done remove from the crockpot and shredd ( I do this using two forks) make sure you throw away any fat that you find this is not good to bite into, really gooey. Pour out any grease that is in the crockpot.
    Put the shredded chicken back into the crockpot, add the Bar-B-Q Sauce (add a little water to it if its to thick) and leave on high for about 30 minutes or turn down to serve/low if you still have awhile before it’s time for supper.
    Bake your potatoes (I put mine in the microwave, Just poke holes in them and nuke for about 15 minutes for 4 or 5 Potatoes. Check them by poking a fork in them to see if they are soft, if not add a few more minutes and check again).

    Split potatoes down the center and open them up a bit, add Butter, Sour Cream, Spoon on Bar-B-Que Chicken (make sure you give lots…. this is the good stuff), Top with Shredded Cheese

    ***TIP: The Bar-B-Que Freezes really well for meals at a later date. Just thaw add a little water and reheat. Perfect and tastes just like you just made it.***

    Chicken is a favorite in my house.We fry it,BBQ it and I ake the best chickennoodle soup in the neighborhood.Anytime I make it my neighbors bring a bowl to get some!

    We love to make Chicken Fajitas! We live in Texas and love southwest food of all sorts! We eat a lot of chicken in our house and use a lot of spices. Montreal chicken is another famous chicken recipe we use.

    My favorite recipe to use chicken with would have to be bbq chicken! With white rice and some steamed mixed veggies season the veggies with lemon pepper. Oh yum! What a great meal!

    My favorite is to take chicken, roast it, make stuffing, add cream of chicken, chicken broth and cut up several pieces of roasted chicken, bake in the oven with a little chicken gravy on top..it is delicious
