Is your car shiny and new or older and chugging along?  Countless drivers are now taking pride in an older vehicle that’s racked up high mileage.  In fact, according to a recent survey conducted by Jiffy Lube International, more than half of U.S. drivers hope to have more than 150,000 miles on their vehicle before replacing it with a new one, and more than a quarter are hoping to clock 250,000 miles or more.

Drivers can now visit and join the new Facebook community dedicated to celebrating high-mileage vehicles and their drivers, called “Keeping My Ride Alive.”  Visitors can cruise the site to browse photos and stories from other high-mileage drivers, and share their own stories and photos.  It’s too bad my grandpa doesn’t have facebook.  His truck is in the over 250,000 mile club!!!

    About 2500 – I just got it at the end of June and I don’t drive a lot. The one I traded in had about 105,000 on it and I had had it for fifteen years!
