Tucked away in my closet is a soft faced doll named Amanda, a toy from my childhood.  This is one of the only toys I have from growing up.  When I became a parent I looked through my stuff and found my Amanda, who needed a trip to the washing machine after all these years.  Upon seeing Amanda I knew that I wanted my girls to have a soft, lovable doll free of the chemicals found in the popular plastic face dolls.  I wanted them to have a doll they could find years later which would make them smile while reminiscing about childhood.  I found the perfect doll for them when I found Best Pals.

My girls absolutely love their Kathy and Janet dolls.  It is perfect that I have a blonde haired and one brown haired girl, just like Kathy and Janet.  We were watching Disney’s The Search for Santa Paws two nights ago and they instantly recognized Kathy as one of the orphan’s beloved dolls.  In fact my two-year-old yelled “Mama!  She has my dolly!  Where did she get it from?”  Other Best Pal toys can be spotted in the workshop scenes in The Search for Santa Paws, so be on the lookout!  We have had hours of fun with our tea set.  Apparently I am not an expert in drinking pretend fluids because I am always corrected on my technique.  🙂  The CD is absolutely amazing.  We adore it!
