As a parent I love toys that encourage our family to work together. There is no better way than to teach children what is right and to correct what is wrong than by playing and building together. Recently my girls and I sat down together to finish building a brand new KRE-O Cityville set….more specifically the KRE-O Cityville Invasion Police Station Zombie Defense Building Set. My girls love building and they have a healthy enjoyment of Zombies after playing Plants Vs. Zombies. This new product was like a collision of two of their favorite things!

KRE-O Cityville
The KRE-O Construction brand takes building a step further with the addition of Sonic Motion Technology. Sound waves trigger specific movements and create a live action scene. The unique cities you create can shuffle, swim, crash, or roar to life. In the Cityville metropolis each KRE-O set tells a part of a Dr. Mayhem story and includes both “hero” and “villian” super heroes. The fate of the city is in the child-sized builders hands.
Our Thoughts
We invited friends over for a play date…and several of the friends did the majority of the work when it came to putting this set together. I will admit….that is mighty nice since this set has hundreds of pieces! It was like someone gave us a head start. One of our guests (male, age 7.5) commented that KRE-O blocks didn’t stay together as well as Lego blocks, which made me really concentrate on how well the pieces stayed together. Out of all of the blocks I put together there was only one spot that I absolutely could not get to stick together. It was in an accessory, so it wasn’t the end of the world. I do think that the KRE-O pieces fit together nicely overall though.
My girls love playing zombies (villians) and police officers (heroes). There is always some elaborate scheme being cooked up by those naughty little zombies! This is a set that is about zombies and police officers and it involves weapons….. and I wish you could have zombies and be able to destroy them with pea shooters and sacks of potatoes instead of guns, but that’s not the way it goes.
This set is great for my daughters to play with. It also gives my husband a bit of a break from all things girly when we get it out to play with. It’s win-win!

We love to visit museums as a family. We have a great time finding unique and obscure museums. We also like game night at home–our favorite game right now is spoons.
Game night is always a great time. Cookouts are really good, too. But, what I miss, is when my Son was younger and we would cook together then have picnics in the living room floor. Best times!
