Mom First, Blogger Second

This week has been super busy for me and I realized that I am a mom first and a blogger second.  I type up deals and find ways to save money because it is something that I truly enjoy doing.  I also really love my role as mom.  This week seems like I have had a very busy “mom” and “me” week.  My family is definitely my priority and I have slacked big time on blogging.

In my St. Patrick’s Day in Atlanta: Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon post I mentioned that my breathing is labored and that I can’t smell anymore.  Last week I had a CT of my brain and sinuses.  On Tuesday I saw my ENT with my CT in hand.  I went into the appointment thinking that he was going to say that there was nothing he could do at this point to help.  Instead, I walked out with plans to have SURGERY.  There’s quite a bit going on in my nose and sinuses.  It was amazing how quickly the surgery switch was flipped.  I am nervous about it.  Who isn’t nervous for surgery though?

Today I saw a new allergist who said that my ENT was “conservative when it comes to surgery.”  Which I agree since he actually did Little Sister’s surgery over the summer.  My breathing was in the normal range which is actually annoying.

As for the Mom part of the week, we have been busy doing crafts and getting ready for Dr. Seuss Day tomorrow.  Big Sister can dress up like a Dr. Seuss character and she chose Sally from The Cat in the Hat (PBS Show).  I will be a yellow Belly Sneetch since I will be in the classroom all morning helping with Green Eggs and Ham activities as well as teaching an art lesson.  See my pretty Fun Facts About Dr. Seuss printout I made for the kids?

I also had to get ready for a consignment sale.  Despite reading Consignment Sales: Tips for Selling Your Items, I didn’t prepare my items early enough.  There was a huge last minute rush last night that took 4 hours of solid work.
