Mystery Shopping: 5 Big Companies to Shop For

There are hundreds of mystery shopping sites and I am often asked which sites people should sign up with when they start mystery shopping.  This week I am going to list five of the biggest mystery shopping sites, in no particular order.  I only have experience with one of the five companies below.

1) Corporate Research International: I suggest setting up a direct deposit for your reimbursements as a small Paypal fee is deducted.  You can read more about my experiences with CoRI here.  I have completed 12 jobs with this company and have the 13th scheduled for next week.

2) TrendSource: I am signed up with this company but have not provided a copy of my identification which makes me unable to see the job board.  I don’t mind giving companies my social security number but I hesitate to give my photo id.

3) Market Force: They have two portals and I am signed up with both but have not performed any jobs.  The audits actually look like fun, but I don’t feel they pay enough for my time.

4) Best Mark: This is another company I am signed up with but have not shopped for.  I do enjoy their weekly emails since they are incredibly easy to follow.

5) Maritz: Again, this is another company I am signed up with but have not shopped for.

You may wonder why I listed these five companies if I do not shop for all of them.  The answer is simple – these companies are BIG, some of the biggest in the industry.  They work with big clients nationwide and your chances of finding a job in your area with one of these companies is high.  On the other hand, these companies may not pay as well as some of the other small companies we have talked about in our previous Mystery Shopping posts.
