There is something so fun about planning a party. It starts with finding a theme and then there are a million little details to work through. Summer is reason enough to have a season long party, but we can help you plan a creative and totally rocking party with Planning Perfect Parties: The Girls’ Guide to Fun, Fresh, Unforgettable Events by Capstone Young Readers.
Please note: The Planning Perfect Paries information and prize package have been provided by the sponsor. I received an identical package. All opinions in this post are honest and my own.
Planning Perfect Parties walks readers through every step of the planning process, making it a breeze to host anything from a small sleepover to an event for the whole class. Parents will appreciate the practicality of the shopping lists, budget guides and invitation etiquette tips as much as girls enjoy the party themes, quizzes and craft-it-yourself decorations. There are QR codes sprinkled throughout which provide access to free online content such as customizable invites, recipes and downloadable decor — as well as a Mizz Manners’ blog offering free advice on hostess do’s and don’ts, monthly contests, and new party themes.
This book is designed for the pre-teen. My girls are 6.5 and almost (gasp, how did this happen) 8. When our book arrived in the mail it was a very happy mail day. Big Sister has paged through the book many, many times and has decided that she wants a sleepover party…and another party….and another party for her birthday in September. There are so many themes in this book that it is hard to pick a favorite. Themes include a ‘Stache Bash to a fun twist on game night entitled You’ve Got Game. There are invitation designs, party favor ideas, recipes, and games provided in this book.
My Thoughts
As a parent, I love the BUDGET part of this book. Kids can get carried away with party planning on this book puts money front and center for them to think about. It is the perfect pairing since your kiddo gets to party plan and learn how to budget all at the same time. There are some incredibly awesome ideas in this book. We will pick it apart and do many of the crafts without a birthday party. When we have neighborhood friends over I am sure we will get out this book for some inspiration then too!
