Warner Home Video recently released Tom and Jerry: Fur Flying Adventure V2 on DVD (SRP $14.97).  This new release is filled with fourteen beloved shorts  directed by such animation greats as Hanna-Barbera, Chuck Jones and others. The episodes on this DVD include:

  • Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl
  • Of Feline Bondage
  • Saturday Evening Puss

  • Which Witch!

This truly is a collection that everyone in the family can enjoy watching together.  One of my favorite parts is that this DVD is comprised of shorts – so the episodes are between five and ten minutes long.  These are the perfect length for a small child’s attention span.  And when used as a bargaining chip (“Just one episode of Tom and Jerry, honey”), parents can let their children watch a short show and everyone will be happy!  My girls have asked to watch Tom and Jerry Fur Flying Adventures Volume 2 many times since it arrived in the mail.

We are not Tom and Jerry experts by any means. We enjoy watching them from time to time and all of these episodes were new to our family.  It was interesting to see that some of these videos were not digitally retouched.  It felt like I was watching old school shows on my HDTV – which I enjoyed.
