Tracy Anderson’s name has become very recognizable as a fitness icon. Having worked with celebrities including Gwenyth Paltrow and Madonna, Tracy Anderson bases her workout and diet plans on ten years of scientific research that proves to get celebs red-carpet ready.
Spending a decade doing research yields a powerful program. Rather than bulk up our large muscles the goal of Tracy’s programs is to work the accessory muscles which yields a long, lean physique rathan than a bulky look. Think “dancer” when you think “Tracy Anderson.”
This program is not for those without commitment and dedication. The three component plan consists of muscle design work (targeting the acessory muscles), cardio complement (increased heart rate), and the menu plan.
The book is filled with photo after photo in the Muscle Design portion, which has three sequences that will last for ten days each. Tracy makes each of these exercies look easy, but I am positive that not everyone will be able to do them as gracefully.
The emphasis is on foods high in nutrients and fiber and accomodate vegetarian and meat eating diets. There are 25 days worth of meal recipes and 5 days worth of cleanse recipes.
With the holiday season practically here everyone is pondering how they can get in shape. With this comprehensive program you can certainly achieve amazing results in a quick time period!
This book was an easy read. The words are powerful and I started thinking “Yeah, I could do this! ” When I realized the time commitment was an hour or more per day I was a little disheartened. When I received the book to review I was undergoing physical therapy for my knee. I talked to my physical therapist and he recommended waiting to start the exercises in this book. I have watched the companion DVD but have yet to do the exercises. They look like your heart will be racing when you are done! Since I didn’t start the program I didn’t try the meals, but a few of the recipes looked very yummy.
